Typographics is organized and run by a dedicated group of typography fans, offering talks and other programming for people who use type.

Started in 2015, the Typographics design festival is an annual forum for presentations about graphic design, web design, publication design, book design, type design, packaging, branding, corporate identity, advertising, motion graphics, and more. Importantly, Typographics focuses on new frontiers in digital typography. The international line-up of speakers includes emerging and established designers, attracting a vital and intelligent community of attendees. In addition to the main conference, the festival also includes workshops, a book fair, a TypeLab, and more.

Typographics is presented by Type@Cooper and The Herb Lubalin Study Center at The Cooper Union in New York City.

This website was designed and developed by Nick Sherman at HEX Projects. The typeface used for large headings is Tick, designed by Cyrus Highsmith and published by Occupant Fonts (a subsidiary of Morisawa Fonts). Subheadings are set in Export, designed by Jesse Ragan and published by XYZ Type. The body type is set in Paragraf, designed by TienMin Liao and published by Typeji.

The site is produced as hand-coded templates and stylesheets with self-hosted web fonts. Its uses the Typetura CSS library for responsive typography and Matomo for non-invasive, privacy-friendly analytics. We respect your privacy and don’t use creepy user-tracking technology. We also respect your time and bandwidth, and make conscious efforts to minimize the amount of data required to load the website. Typographics websites have been featured in the 1MB Club (for web pages that weigh less than 1 megabyte) and the Lowww directory (for low-carbon websites).
